The Axeman is coming!

Axeman Trailer from Zac Seaton on Vimeo.

Ok, so maybe he's already been and gone, slaughtering all in his wake, but I figured that it was about time I posted some of the work I did for the clip. Rather than let it become some sort of dread necronomicon-esque reference- always referenced... but never seen. So, as is only appropriate, this is a quick teaser trailer that I threw together to promote the Axeman clip and the Amebix retrospective DVD it was made for.

He's coming..... SLAUGHTER!!!

Wassat!?

(from left to right) Myself, Ivan and Marquis after watching the new Nightmare on Elm Street movie. Which was great btw.

This is myself and my girlfriend at a friends birth/divorce day drinks

Lastly, this is one of myself in my mercenary costume at my 24th.

This post is something of an experiment really, pay it no heed. Maybe.

For your viewing pleasure I present to you not one, but two, recent projects of mine. The first being my Demoreel for this year and the second being an experimental animated music video that I finished late this year.

The demo reel contains 3d purpose built projects and also some flash work that I animated during my time at Liquid Animation last year. The end creidts give specific accounting of rig/asset owneriship (ie; not me) and other appropriate accreditations.

'Requim for the Fallen' is the tittle of the music video, created in flash with some basic affer effects work and composited in premiere. The music belongs to Amebix (Moscow Madness) with permission given for use.

As always, comments are appreciated. Untill next time though, take it easy and enjoy.

2009 End of year presentation. from Zac Seaton on Vimeo.

It's been some time since I last updated this puppy. Many months, in fact. I've been up to alot, including a trip to Thailand, a stint doing interior decoration paintings and one hell of a convention in canberra.

More important than my escapades abroad, the Diploma of Animation course I've been studying is very shortly coming to an end. The Screening Night held on Tuesday the 17th went very well and almost all of the final peices were very good. One or two weren't so crash hot, but you get that.

So now with the future gleaming brightly and mysteriously ahead of me, I go tentatively forward. Each step comes easier they say, but you must take those intial difficult paces before momentum and inertia can drive you forward ever bolder.

This post is just a quick update really, to get me back onto the damned thing and posting again. So take it easy all and enjoy.

Nifty websites aka Eh?

Hello and other face-noise greetings, fellow flesh bags!

For a brief update, lots of stuff happening and nothing all at once. I don't really feel a need to exaggerate beyond 'none of your damned business', so I wont.

I felt it would be prudent to briefly pimp the amazing new stop motion film 'Coraline' (mostly cause my Tafe teacher told me so, ha ha freakin' ha) and it's similarly nifty website with it's groovy motion graphics and what not. The address for any whose curiosity is piqued is as follows; www.coraline.com

The site is somewhat download heavy because of the groovy scene exploration. It's cool, check it out if you don't know what I mean. Also the movie itself is based off a story written by Neil Gaiman. If you don't know who he is, there is some thing basely wrong with your existence.

Well space cadets and bucket heads, that's all for now, stay tuned to see three poodles juggling small children. Or not, see if I care.

So Much To Tell You About Genocide!

Untitled from Zac Seaton on Vimeo.

OK, so here we have an example of me doing this thing called animation. It's weird huh? Me, of all folk, doing some animation!

Jokes and witticisms aside, this is the work in progress of my first show reel piece. It's been uploaded in it's current form due to assessment reasons and anybody who has a problem with that can go die in a fire. Really, do it now, I command you! OBEY THE FIST!!!

So really what this piece is currently demonstrating is the overall timing, posing and break-downs of the movements. This piece is an excerpt from a much more grandiose scene where upon 'A dude' is fighting a 'minion' for possession of a pretty girls handbag. 'A dude' has just scooped him up buy the leg and thought the 'minion' beat, but the little monkey bastard has a lot more fight left in him.

I'm not really sure what else to say about this piece to give anymore insight, or perhaps it's best I don't and it receives the full force of context ignorant criticism. Whatever, enjoy.

P.S. Don't listen to the toaster, it's full of lies. LIES!!!

Bouncin' Bean from Zac Seaton on Vimeo.

DEFEND YOUR ORIFICES FROM THE SKY! no really, that shite will find it's way in anywhere, yeah, anywhere.

So, this little nugget is an assessment peice from my tafe 3D class. We were to model, rig then skin a character and finally make the sucker bounce. This I have done, so I bequeath unto you, oh vengefull interwebs!
